At a 6" stroke, the ZR-156 handles 15-ton tasks that call for substantial plunger travel — pressing, lifting, or bending work where the load or fixture requires the cylinder to extend well beyond a short-stroke unit. Like the rest of the ZR series, it's built for shop, agricultural, automotive/truck service, and construction maintenance environments, rated to 10,000 psi (700 bar), and runs on hand, air, or electric pump power.
Construction features a chrome-plated, high-strength alloy steel piston rod resistant to wear and corrosion, along with polyurethane seals and wipers that limit contamination. A hardened saddle keeps the plunger from jamming or slipping under load, while a steel top stop ring protects against blow-out across the full stroke. A one-piece copper ring cradles the rod to absorb eccentric and side loading, and a heavy-duty return spring keeps retraction quick and consistent. The cylinder can be operated in any position and carries a baked enamel finish for corrosion protection.
